You may recall, if you were in attendance at last years’ event, that we were blessed with the donation of a beautiful piece of art by local artist Kevin Nierman. This was used as the prize for a raffle to benefit Revolve. Many cast their ticket into the hat but there could only be one winner. This year all will be winners!
Mr. Nierman has again made a donation to the event and all shall share in the prize. Lithographic reproductions of that very portrait, suitable for framing, will be available to each and every participant. As an added bonus our fair city will also benefit through his generosity.
Underway for several months has been a regional, bi-state effort that encompasses both urban and suburban communities and includes stakeholders from areas such as bicycling, walking, public health, neighborhood advocacy, transportation, public policy, etc. The champions of this cause is a new organization, BikeWalkKC. Their vision is to shape Kansas City into a region where active living is a way of life for healthy families, vibrant neighborhoods, competitive economies, and a thriving natural environment. What more could one hope for? An art print, of course!
Eligibility is quite simple. In an effort to assist BikeWalkKC in their endeavors we ask that our participants be willing to make a small donation to their cause. When you arrive on Saturday morning you are required to complete a release of liability waiver (this is mandatory). The waiver is also the document which we use for the random drawing of prizes so be very sure to fill one out! Everyone who signs the waiver and makes a $5.00 donation to BikeWalkKC may have a print. Be sure to have your hand stamped and you may pick up your print at the end of the event rather than carry it with you on the ride! Cheers & Tally Ho!
